Slate is an independent iOS application. This privacy policy explains how Slate handles your information. The short version: Slate does not collect, store, or share any personal data.

Information Slate Does Not Collect

Slate does not collect, transmit, or store any personally identifiable information. No account creation or personal details are required to use the app.

Data Stored on Your Device

The following information is stored locally on your device only. This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to the developer:

• App preferences (viewing location, region, appearance mode)
• Saved calendar selections
• Film lists created in the Programmer and Roulette features
• Upcoming films you choose to track

Third Party Services

Slate uses the following third party services to provide film data. When you search for a film, the title is sent to these services. No personally identifiable information is transmitted.

• The Movie Database (TMDB) — provides film search, details, and streaming availability. Privacy policy: themoviedb.org/privacy-policy
• OMDb API — provides film ratings, awards, and box office data. Privacy policy: omdbapi.com

These services receive only the film titles you search for. They do not receive your name, location, device identifier, or any other personal information.

Calendar Access

If you choose to add a screening to your calendar, Slate requests access to Apple Calendar solely to create that event. Calendar data is managed entirely by Apple and is never transmitted to the developer or any third party.

Children's Privacy Slate does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13.
